Woman filmed swearing at Philippine airport worker after her flight was canceled due to typhoons

A video of a woman in the Philippines swearing at an airport worker after typhoons in the country caused scores of flights to be canceled went viral on TikTok.

In the now-deleted video filmed and posted by TikTok users @jackie_solo_travellerThe woman can be seen yelling at a Cebu Pacific employee, demanding to see her manager at an unidentified airport.

“We need answers!” she screams. “So you’re not telling me ‘manage your own damn booking’ because we’ve been doing this for a while! Do you understand? So you get the manager!”

A man, whose relationship to the woman is unclear, appears from behind and tries to de-escalate the situation. She pulls away from him and continues to scream in frustration, “No! We spent money here!”

In the description of her video, @jackie_solo_traveller wrote:

“Typhoon in the Philippines causing many flights to be cancelled. My flight was canceled 10 minutes before the supposed departure time. Then airline staff shut down the only helpdesk and told us to manage our own flights.”

She confirms her statement in a follow-up video, in which she says her own flight was delayed “by 232 hours, so about eight or nine days.”

“I didn’t hear them say to take care of your booking, but I guess it was said by what the girl said in the video,” she continues. “Obviously a lot of people were very confused, angry, this girl [was] particularly angry. But something like that happened behind the scenes, basically just being stranded at the airport.”

Commentators on the follow-up video criticized both the angry woman and the airline.

“Businesses get away with this lack of proper customer service,” wrote one user. “Government should step up and be consumer-friendly to promote the country.”

“There is no excuse for the woman to behave the way she did,” wrote another user. “The employees on site hardly know anything.”
