A leaker claims that the icon call of Duty Killstreak Tactical Nuke could return Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Call of Duty: Warzone 2, Activision’s latest battle royale, is due out in a week. Despite this, relatively little is known about the popular but flawed Call of Duty: Warzone. Leakers are starting to share some interesting details about it Call of Duty: Warzone 2 in the meantime, but perhaps few predicted the reintroduction of nuclear weapons.
The Tactical Nuke Killstreak was an unforgettable part of the call of Duty franchise since its inception in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in 2009. The Killstreak challenged players to rack up 25 kills without being eliminated themselves and rewarded an instant victory upon activation. The Tactical Nuke has since been featured in several games, either as a killstreak or as an Easter egg reference.
Exactly what it means when the atomic bomb returns Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is not clear, but according to leaker TheGhostOfHope it comes into play. The leaker shared a simple message on social media stating, “You can get a Warzone 2.0 nuclear bomb.” The leaker doesn’t provide any further context regarding nuclear weapons Call of Duty: Warzone 2, which makes her comment all the more suspicious. Still, if true, it will surely be an exciting addition.
A big question raised in the leaker’s Twitter replies was whether the nuke would end the game instantly like the killstreak in previous games. A Battle Royale player who manages 25 or more eliminations and wins instantly would certainly be an impressive feat worth rewarding. It could also fit a battle royale theme, making the player nearing the brink of eliminations an immediate target for all other players. However, that’s just one way Activision might implement it.
There is no guarantee that the nuke would be a battle royale killstreak reward or that it would end the match. These would be non-traditional additions to battle royale, to say the least. A more traditional offering would be a nuclear item that rarely appears as loot. It could be a little blast rather than a typical round end call of Duty Tactical nuclear bomb. Maybe it could move slowly or have a fuse that allows counterplay.
You can also take part in an ongoing event as a streamer Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Preview build, surprises keep popping up for the Battle Royale. TheGhostOfHope says this is by design as Activision has content plans to support the live service game that has not yet been shared. A nuclear bomb in a battle royale game would certainly be a surprise worth sharing to build excitement for launch.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on November 16th.
