Terrifying video shows gunman ‘person of interest’ in death in Houston rapper takeoff homicide

Newly released footage shows Takeoff spending his last moments of life alongside his Migos rapper and uncle Quavo as a group discussed “disrespect” and basketball before a barrage rang out.

The video, provided to TMZ, also takes a look at a man dressed all in black and holding a gun. A spokesman for the Houston Police Department confirmed to The Daily Beast on Wednesday that the man caught on camera is a person of interest in the shooting, but he has yet to be identified by police.

“They know your name, they won’t be so disrespectful,” someone is heard saying in the video. The man continued to speak, but his voice was drowned out by others.

A man is then spotted at his side, gun in hand, as the argument turns to basketball.

“Don’t play with me like that, brother,” says one man. Moments later, the same man appears to declare, “I’m about to hurt someone, bro.”

Two seconds later, a single gunshot is heard in the video and a woman says “oh fuck no”.

Next, the video pans again briefly to a shooter, this time with his pistol drawn. Then a barrage of at least 10 shots can be heard. The person who recorded the incident, who was not identified by TMZ, then fled.

Police still don’t know who shot and killed Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, just after 2:30 a.m. at a downtown Houston venue. An autopsy released Wednesday confirmed the 28-year-old rapper died from “penetrating gunshot wounds to the head and torso in the arm,” TMZ reported.

Two others, an unnamed 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were shot dead in the incident but survived. Terrifying video shows gunman ‘person of interest’ in death in Houston rapper takeoff homicide
