Ted Cruz was brutally booed by Houston Astros fans at the World Series Parade

Houston Astros fans rallied on city streets Monday to honor the team’s World Series win over the Philadelphia Phillies.

However, some people seemed more excited to boo Senator Ted Cruz than to celebrate the Astros’ win.

For some reason, the scruffy Texas Republican rode in a car with the parade — an act that didn’t score many points with fans.

Numerous videos captured at the parade show Cruz being brutally booed by thousands.

Of course, Twitter users were concerned about the rather negative reaction the Texas senator received from residents of his home state.

Cruz wasn’t the only Texas politician to take on Astros fans.

Lt. gov. Dan Patrick was also heartily booed, according to the Houston Chronicle.

One Twitter user even compared the two conservative politicians to “bow ties at a cookout,” while another noted “Assholes have to stink everything.”

The Chronicle noted that Cruz was also booed while attending a playoff game between the Astros and Yankees in New York.
