Sam Barlow’s “Her Story” was “bared” in exchange for being put in a Tesla.

In a strange turn of events and possibly the slow death of Twitter, Elon Musk has finally bought the social media platform. In light of the news, and amid the various complaints on Twitter, a few stories have surfaced about the SpaceX CEO’s past efforts.

If you haven’t played it yet, check out the Immortality trailer, courtesy of Sam Barlow’s team at Half Mermaid Productions, here.

One of these stories comes from Sam Barlow, the designer of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and creator of Her Story, Telling Lies and Immortality. Following the news that Musk was buying Twitter, Barlow took to Twitter and shared that he was once asked to put her story in a car for no payment aside from “compromising.”

“Tesla reached out once and asked to put her story in a car. I asked how much they would pay for the license and to cover the engineering work – they suggested zero and I think how much attention I would get,” Barlow’s tweet read.

The game designer then responds to his own tweet, explaining, “Your story in a car remains one of the more silly ideas I’ve heard.”

It also appears that Sam Barlow wasn’t the only one who received the offer to pack his game in a car for free, and Untitled Goose Game developer Cable Sasser chimed in on the thread, saying: “Same thing : Goose.”

I don’t know about you, but adding games to cars seems like a strange concept to me; is there a market out there for people who want to crash their cars? Tesla wasn’t the only company looking to merge video games and vehicles, BMW has partnered with AirConsole to add games to its cars.

I’m just saying gaming should probably stay on the devices it’s intended for and stay away from vehicles. We already have our phones in cars, which seems like a bad enough distraction for some people; I don’t think games in cars are any different.
