Resident Evil 4 PC specs revealed

For everyone who will be playing the highly anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 for PC, the hardware specifications have now been revealed. With the recent confirmation that Silent Hill 2 will be remade no less by the Bloober Team, not to mention the upcoming ones Empty roomgamers can look forward to the revival of a whole host of classic horror games. While some may think the gaming industry is experiencing some sort of remake explosion, with far too many in the current market, others will feel the industry is in a golden age of remakes.

It’s the latter crowd who are more looking forward to what’s to come. With the resident Evil Showcase recently went live, fans got a chance to see what Capcom has in store for its long-running survival franchise. More content was shown for what’s to come Resident Evil Village DLC, as well as news about Turning back, but what many players are perhaps most awaiting is the remake of the fourth part. While it’s releasing on consoles there will also be a PC version and some will want to know if their setup can run it.

According to the Steam page Resident Evil 4 requires at least an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i5-7500 processor to run. In terms of RAM, 8 GB and a graphics card with 4 GB VRAM should be sufficient, with a Radeon RX 560 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti at the lower end of the hardware side. Of course, if you look at the recommended specifications, the requirements increase to a certain extent. PC gamers should ideally have 16GB of RAM as well as a more modern GPU, although an Nvidia GTX 1000 series should still suffice.

In general, it doesn’t look like the game is going to be too challenging. It’s not anything like that Silent Hill 2 Remake that requires more on the PC and recommends Windows 11 users. Given that many gamers are still using Windows 10, this is likely to be a point of contention for those looking to play bloober’s version of the iconic horror game on PC.

With the success of AGAIN 2 and RE 3 remakes, it’s safe to say that this next offering will be just as well received.
