Ottawa man faces charges in Halton-area human trafficking investigation

An Ottawa man faces multiple charges in a human trafficking investigation linked to the exploitation of a victim living in southern Ontario.
Investigators say the 25-year-old suspect, who went by the name “Snupe,” was arrested by local police at a residence in Ottawa on Sunday and then turned over to Halton Regional Police.
The investigation, which began in April, involves a victim who regularly travels through the greater Toronto area, and other victims are believed to be linked to the defendant.
He faces a total of eight charges, including procuring sex services and assault with a gun, and has been remanded in custody.
