The job posting is for an internship in summer 2023 and includes the following:

“We are a new PlayStation studio based in San Diego, CA. Our team seeks to positively impact YOU by inspiring the minds and emotions of gamers worldwide through an amazing gaming experience. We are currently developing an exciting new project in a beloved franchise together with Naughty Dog.”

This is the second job posting unearthed this week that mentions Naughty Dog.

It was reported on Wednesday that a recruitment site had advertised a vacancy for an executive producer at PlayStation. This position is with a “new in-house game development team” working with PSS Visual Arts. The currently unannounced “High Visibility Project” has been listed as being developed in collaboration with Naughty Dog.

After the listing made the rounds on the internet, the wording changed. It is now said that Sony is “building a new in-house game development team” and that it is “the same world-class team known for their contributions to the Last of Us franchise”.

The only title Naughty Dog is currently working on is the multiplayer game The Last of Us, which was originally planned as part of The Last of Us: Part 2. The new standalone title will be as big as Naughty Dog Games’ single player title, and it will contain a storyline. Studio head Neil Druckmann said there will be a new cast of characters and that it will be set in a different part of the United States.

On the other hand, the studio could also be working on a fantasy title. Only the developers know for sure.
