Markiplier says his ‘ungodly’ $38 million annual income from YouTube feels ‘unfair’

Markiplier, one of the highest-earning content creators on YouTube, admitted the “ungodly amount” of money he makes, which totals around $38 million a year, “feels unfair.”

Markiplier, whose real name is Mark Fischbach, joined LoganPaul during a recent episode of the podcast, “Impulsive‘ to talk about his YouTube career and health.

During their conversation, Markiplier who is from Korean descentHe tells about his finances and how much he earns in a year.

I’m making an incredible amount of money and it feels unfair,” says Markiplier, who has over 33 million subscribers on YouTube.

I’m open to talking about it because it just seems like a cheat on the system to be able to have so much success when all I really want to do is create content and inspire others to create content,” he continues. “But at the same time it’s something I can’t deny because to deny it would be hypocritical.”

Markiplier’s interview with Paul wasn’t the first time the YouTuber spoke about his “unfathomable” earnings. In conversation with Smosh co-founder Anthony Padilla in MayMarkiplier revealed his channel had 17 billion views at the time, to which Padilla replied, “That’s absolutely unfathomable.”

It’s just stupid when I have what I have and I can do what I do and I can eat and have a roof over my head and do what I want, whenever I want,” says Markiplier Paul .

in the a report released JanuaryForbes listed Markiplier as the third highest-earning YouTuber in the world, with MrBeast taking the top spot and Paul’s brother, Jake-Paulon the second place. Nielsen’s Asian-American Report 2020 listed the YouTuber as one of the top two highest-earning Asian-American content creators on YouTube at the time, alongside Evan Fong, aka VanossGaming.

Although he started his YouTube career In 2012, the Hawaiian native Markiplier was viewed a million times as recently as 2014. In August of that year he released a video about “Five Nights at Freddy’s” which he dubbed “scariest game in years.” The video has garnered over 105 million views at the time of this writing.
